Mami Hariyama
Mami Hariyama was born in Osaka, Japan and has two main professional careers: ballet and piano.
At 15, she traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia to take classes and perform with The Leningrad State Ballet , and also to Indianapolis, USA where she took lessons with Irina Kolpakova. She continues traveling back to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Perm, Russia every few years to keep her ballet method and educate herself.
Presently her efforts are geared to “NY Dance Artistry- Hariyama Ballet ”, her own ballet studio. She produces Performances and Her students are also noticed in the competitions around the world and receiving medals and awards. She also travels the US and Japan to coach, guest teach, and give master classes.
In all, she had around 800 students in the past, many students received gold medals in the international dance festivals and competitions, some of them are professional ballet dancers now.
Hariyama Ballet celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2025.
Kei Kikuchi
パフォーマー、振付家、演出家、指導者。日本在住。
Kei Kikuchi is a Japan-based performer, choreographer, director, and dance educator. She is a co-founding member of Geki Danz and has produced numerous family-friendly performances, including Dance Performance Assemblage. Geki Danz has toured throughout Japan, offering dance workshops and performances at kindergartens and elementary schools.
Internationally, she has performed and received recognition for her work. She performed SUSHI TAP SHOW with TOKYO TAP DO at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in both 2018 and 2024, and won an Asian Art Award in 2024.
As a choreographer, Kei has choreographed for a range of dance and musical theatre productions. Favorite credits include the musical Xiāng Yī Wéi Mìng (winner of the Mini Theater Award at the Musical Awards TOKYO), as well as GHETTO, Melody for Tomorrow, Homecoming, and Alice in Wonderland, produced by Kukan Seisaku Sha.
